A flexible packaging converter, since 1997
Spectra Pack began in 1997 as Super Flexible Packaging, in a 2,000 sq ft unit in Vasai with ten people and three machines assembled by hand: one to print, one to laminate and one to slit.
Spectra means a set of seven colours.
Seven inks, mixed into every shade a brand asks for, and matched again on every repeat order.
Today the company runs a 27,000 sq ft plant at Umbergaon in Gujarat, and makes printed laminates, pouches and bags for food, pharmaceutical, stationery, electrical and household brands in India and abroad.

What we run
Spectra Pack is a converter. We buy film in large reels and take it through four stages in our own plant, so that the print, the barrier, the width and the seal are all decided by one team.
Sectors we make for
Food is only part of it. The same plant packs stationery, electricals, incense, adhesives and healthcare products, and each one asks for a different film.

1997
A 2,000 sq ft unit in Vasai
Amit J. Desai starts the company as Super Flexible Packaging with ten people. The first printing, lamination and slitting machines are assembled on site by the founder and his operators.

2017
The Umbergaon plant and the second generation
After growing to 8,000 sq ft in Vasai alongside co-founder Samir J. Desai, the company moves into an industrial shed at GIDC Umbergaon. Siddharth Desai and Karna Desai join as partners.

Printing, lamination, slitting and pouching run under one roof, with consignments leaving for customers across India and for the UAE, Oman, Ethiopia, Canada and the USA.
